On Saturday, October 11, we'll be serving our traditional fare -- turkey, corned beef, red flannel hash, baked beans, vegetables, pies, pies, pies, and drinks -- all for only $9 for adults, $5 for children. Get down here for dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with takeout available.
If you'd like to donate vegetables, coffee, a pie or two, there's a sign up sheet at church. Contact the church office by email or phone 466-2136 to find out what's needed.
If you'd like to help there's plenty to do. Friday will be set up the dining room day. The Men's Breakfast group has been conscripted to move the tables and chairs. Later that afternoon, around 4:30, we'll pull out the decorations, tablecloths, and place settings.
If you can help on Friday: Friday is also vegetable peeling day. There's potatoes, turnips, carrots and onions to prep. Stay in the morning after the breakfast or come in the afternoon while the dining room is set.
Can you help on Saturday? Early morning, by 8 a.m., the corned beef will be started, then the turkeys, then the vegetables. Bruce Lary is our head chef so we know everything will be delicious!
Dishwashers and clean up personnel are always appreciated! We're looking forward to both the fun and the hard work together, here, at our church, on the corner of Main and Church Streets. Hope to see you there!
